These are not standard hollow needles; they are fabricated from fine capillary tubing and modified to include precise openings, slots, or channels at or near the sealed tip. This design allows for directional or radial fluid egress directly at the working end, which is critical for applications where axial flow from a standard open tip is undesirable or less controllable. The tips can be ground to various geometries (tapered, beveled, closed pencil-point) with the groove(s) laser-machined or etched with micron-level accuracy. These needles offer exceptional precision for manipulating volumes, accessing confined spaces, or performing targeted interventions. Made from 304 or 316L stainless steel, they provide the necessary strength, corrosion resistance, and cleanability for sensitive medical and laboratory environments.
